    Job Description

    Syracuse University's Center for Experiential Pedagogy & Practice (CEPP) is seeking to fill the position of Simulation Logistics Coordinator (Temporary). The job assignment will run from July 27, 2026-January 8th, 2027. The successful applicant will report to the Executive Director and help coordinate logistics for simulation education at Syracuse University.

    The position will ensure effective daily operations of simulations and clinical education in the Center for Experiential Pedagogy & Practice, mostly managing scheduling and behind the scenes logistics. This includes recruiting and scheduling actors for simulations, scheduling actor training sessions, tracking actor hours and submitting payroll weekly, and creating schedules for both in-person and virtual simulations.

    This is a temporary, in-person position requiring 25 hours per week. Hours are flexible and will be coordinated with the Executive Director, but must fall within standard university business hours (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM in summer / 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM in fall). Regular check-ins with the Executive Director are expected throughout the week.

    Education and Experience

    • Bachelor's degree required

    • Excellent written communication skills

    Responsibilities

    • Recruit actors 4-6 weeks ahead of upcoming simulations using our established actor roster, ensuring actors are appropriate for each given role and that they are available on the day/time of each simulation.
    • Coordinate and schedule training sessions for each simulation.
    • Accurately manage all fiscal responsibilities associated with compensating actors by tracking simulation and training hours and submitting payroll form weekly.
    • Create schedules for in-person simulations by matching actors to student learners and assigning the pairs to simulation rooms.
    • Create schedules for virtual simulations by matching actors to student learners and creating individualized Zoom links for each pair.
    • Other logistics duties as assigned.
