Would you like to be part of a recruiting team that is responsible for fueling the rapid growth of AWS? Do you thrive in high growth ambiguous environments? Are you a process-oriented data driven recruiter that loves to dive deep to identify and engage top data center talent?

The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Infrastructure Services Recruiting team is seeking a talented, customer focused Sourcing Recruiter to join our global recruiting organization. You will be supporting AWS Data Center teams to build robust candidate pipelines and drive proactive sourcing strategies.

Successful Sourcing Recruiters on this team utilize their experience in candidate identification, market research, and pipeline development. They thrive in an innovative, fast-paced environment, can roll up their sleeves, work hard, and have fun to get the job done. They draw on extensive knowledge of sourcing tools, techniques, and talent markets, building strong relationships with recruiters and hiring managers.

We are looking for a Sourcing Recruiter to help grow and scale hiring in Amazon Web Services (AWS). The Sourcing Recruiter will be aligned to the business working closely with recruiters and AWS Talent Acquisition to execute sourcing strategies; including candidate identification, market mapping, pipeline building, and initial candidate engagement while delivering high-quality candidates for data center roles within AWS.

The ideal candidate must be able to earn trust and collaborate effectively with recruiters and hiring teams. They must be able to plan and prioritize sourcing activities, build and maintain candidate pipelines, have demonstrated ability to use metrics to track sourcing effectiveness and show results, while remaining calm in times of high volume and ambiguity. Thriving in a growth environment and having a strength in creative sourcing will be critical to success in this role. The best candidate will draw on extensive knowledge of sourcing methodologies, tools, and talent markets while building effective partnerships with recruiters, hiring managers, and cross-functional teams.

Key job responsibilities

We are looking for sourcing recruiters who will:

  • Partner to build effective sourcing strategies for Data Center roles, leveraging baseline knowledge to identify and engage passive candidates through deep understanding of talent markets and sourcing channels.
  • Proactively source passive candidates, assess initial fits, and understand candidate motivations to build strong pipelines.
  • Provide sourcing insights and market intelligence to recruiters and hiring managers on talent availability, competitive landscape, and effective engagement strategies.
  • Develop sourcing models and execute robust search strategies using Boolean, LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, and other tools to identify candidates.
  • Recommend ideas and strategies that contribute to pipeline health and quality, implementing new sourcing techniques for hard-to-fill technical openings.
  • Document sourcing plans with clear deliverables, timelines, and metrics to track pipeline development and candidate engagement effectiveness.
  • Conduct initial candidate screenings to assess qualifications and interest level before passing qualified candidates through the process
  • Participate in special projects and sourcing initiatives to identify passive networking talent.

Amazon.com Inc

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
