Position Overview

Trinity Healthcare Talent Services is seeking a Travel Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for an assignment at St. Bernardine Medical Center.

This role primarily focuses on adult inpatient acute care, with additional exposure to NICU feeding cases, offering a diverse and clinically rich experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform speech, language, and swallowing evaluations
  • Conduct Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS)
  • Provide treatment for dysphagia and communication disorders
  • Work with adult acute care patients
  • Support NICU patients with feeding/swallowing needs
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation

Clinical Highlights

  • Patient Load: 9–10 patients/day
  • Mixed Caseload: Adult Acute + NICU feeding
  • Strong exposure to swallow studies & critical care cases

Required Qualifications

Active California SLP License
BLS Certification (AHA required)
Experience in Modified Video Swallow Studies (MBSS) – REQUIRED
Acute care experience preferred

Scheduling & Assignment Details

  • Schedule: 5x8 Day Shifts
  • Start Time: 8:00 AM
  • Weekend: 1 weekend/month
  • Hours: 40 hours/week
