Primary Focus:
Lead design and implementation of infrastructure automation and observability (provisioning, configuration, validation, and operational workflows).
Key Technical Skills:
- Observability: Observability platforms and collection frameworks (OTEL, Fluentbit, Grafana, Dynatrace, Splunk)
- Data: Python (data analysis), dashboard development (Performance, KPI, SLI), observability pipelines (Fluentbit, OpenTelemetry, Cribl, Kafka, Vector)
- Infrastructure-as-Code: NetBox, Git/YAML, version control, collector fleet management
- Automation & Orchestration: Python (API automation, scripting), Ansible, Terraform, orchestration tools (Itential, StackStorm, AWX)
- Integration & APIs: REST/GraphQL, OpenAPI, OpenTelemetry, Streaming Telemetry, secrets management (Vault/CyberArk), IPAM (Infoblox/NetBox), artifact repositories
- Testing & Validation: Robot Framework, pytest, pyATS; test-driven automation
- DevOps Practices: CI/CD, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift), GitOps, documentation-as-code, observability
- AI-Assisted Development: Experience using AI-enabled development tools and coding assistants to accelerate software and automation development (Claude Code, Codex, GitHub Copilot, or equivalent)
- AI Application & Integration: Experience integrating foundation models into enterprise solutions using model APIs, structured outputs, tool/function calling, retrieval and context engineering, MCP, and enterprise data sources
- AI Agent Development: Designing, building, evaluating, and orchestrating AI agents and agentic workflows using modern agent frameworks and runtimes (LangGraph, OpenAI Agents SDK, Microsoft Agent Framework, Google ADK, NVIDIA NeMo ecosystem, or equivalent)
- AI Operations & Governance: Understanding of evaluation, observability, guardrails, human-in-the-loop controls, authorization, auditability, failure handling, and safe integration of AI with deterministic enterprise automation
Preferred Experience:
- Deploying and developing observability collectors-as-code
- Multi-vendor abstraction, observability, and automation frameworks
- Architect and design of agnostic observability pipelines
- IT Operations Dashboard and Architecture design
- ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Jira, BMC)
- Cloud/On-premises migration checks and validation
- Building and deploying AI-assisted development environments and agentic systems using modern coding assistants, agent frameworks, model APIs, tool-calling patterns, and evaluation/observability techniques.

- You have extensive experience in developing and implementing IT automation within an organization.
- You hold a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or have equivalent experience.
- You have a proven track record of leading large and complex automation and observability engagements.
- You have experience in developing standards and best practices for development projects.
- You are familiar with modern development tools and environments, such as Git, Visual Studio Code, Docker/Podman, Kubernetes/OpenShift, and Linux/Unix.
- You have experience with data serialization formats such as YAML, JSON, XML, and CSV.
- You have proficiency in Python or other programming languages, and experience with Golang is a plus.
- You have a solid understanding of Model Driven Programmability (NETCONF/RESTCONF/YANG) and REST APIs.
- You have the foundational knowledge of public cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP and private cloud computing platforms such as VMware vSphere.
- You have working knowledge of one or more observability and aiops tools and platforms, including Grafana, Dynatrace, Splunk, BigPanda, and Selector.ai.
- You have working knowledge of one or more automation and orchestration tools and platforms, such as Ansible and Terraform.
- You have working knowledge of AI-driven coding platforms and AI agent frameworks, such as Claude Code, OpenCode, Codex, and LangGraph.
Working conditions (if needed)
- Travel as needed to customer sites up to 30%.

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $140,000 to $170,000 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base pay.
