Sr. Construction Manager

WHAT WE NEED: Sr. Construction Manager This position is a full-time, on-site assignment located at one of our clients sites in Yazoo City, Mississippi. The anticipated duration of the assignment is 12-18 months, with the potential for extension based on project needs and client requirements. Per diem is available for qualified candidates who meet company eligibility requirements. Responsibilities: Provide overall leadership and direction for field construction activities. Manage construction execution to meet project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety objectives. Develop and maintain construction schedules, staffing plans, and resource allocations. Lead daily planning, coordination, and progress meetings with project teams and contractors. Ensure compliance with site-specific safety requirements, company policies, OSHA regulations, and client standards. Monitor contractor performance and productivity, identifying and resolving issues that may impact project success. Review construction work packages, drawings, specifications, and work plans for constructability and execution readiness. Coordinate with engineering, procurement, operations, maintenance, and project management teams throughout project execution. Manage field changes, scope adjustments, and construction-related RFIs. Track project progress and provide regular status updates to leadership.Oversee project cost control efforts and support forecasting activities. Ensure quality standards are maintained through inspections, audits, and verification processes. Support commissioning, startup, and project closeout activities. Mentor and develop construction supervisors and field personnel. WHO WE NEED: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline preferred. Minimum 10+ years of construction management experience in industrial, chemical, petrochemical, refining, manufacturing, or similar heavy industrial environments. Strong understanding of industrial construction practices, safety requirements, and project execution methodologies. Proven leadership experience managing field teams and complex projects. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software. Ability to work full-time on-site in Yazoo City, MS.Strong knowledge of construction planning, work packaging, and field productivity management. Experience supporting commissioning and startup activities.
