The Displays team is seeking an Display Electrical Engineer to support the development and qualification of display module for Tesla's vehicle systems. This role will involve working on display module development at the component, design and system levels. The individual will act as a focal point of contact between the design studio, software team, global supply management team, quality team, reliability team, factory, and display suppliers, managing all activities required to deliver displays from initial concept to production in Tesla vehicles.
Serve as the primary technical point of contact for developing the display module design of panel ( LCD/OLED/etc ) and the driver IC
Design and define the display/touch electronics system driving board for new display projects, including creating block diagram, schematics, and layout designs
Debug driving system failures, identify the root cause and implement improvements
Power analysis of display panel, sequence, timing, signal and power integrity
Perform display testing for all features and functions and failure analysis, and review results from display vendors, module vendors, and cross-functional teams at Tesla to ensure performance specifications are met
Lead internal cross-functional teams, collaborating with members from design, mechanical engineering, firmware, electrical engineering, touch technology, and other areas of expertise
Identify all open engineering issues and drive suppliers to resolve them promptly, ensuring project timelines are met
Ensure display deliverables are met for engineering builds and initial production ramp-up
Address issues arising from the initial production ramp and field returns related to displays
Degree in Electronics, Electronical Engineering, Computer Science or Physics, or a related field or equivalent experience
5 years of experience in display development and product delivery
In-depth knowledge of display measurement and performance evaluation, display technologies, display module construction, process development, and display electronics systems
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with excellent project management, communication, and teamwork abilities
Experience of design and analysis of OLED device, TFT panel, Compensation circuits, or GIP circuit
Familiar with PCB layout/schematic software, firmware coding, I2C, oscilloscope
Electrical validation and characterization in collaboration with optical engineers, familiar with lab equipment Work experience in the major display panel maker's engineering
Skills in AI tools, AI agent, Python, Script, Matlab for data processing and analysis

Expected Compensation
$91,600 - $276,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
