Join the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Finance team and help shape how AWS partners scale the business. We are looking for an analytical, execution-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to support core Partner GTM programs and incentives, with direct exposure to resell motions and a $1B+ investment portfolio. This role sits at the intersection of finance, sales strategy, and partner operations, and plays a critical role in ensuring disciplined execution, strong financial governance, and clear leadership decision-making.

In this role, you will partner closely with the AWS Specialists and Partners organization to own program-level financial support, including OP2 planning, monthly R&O, in-year reforecasting, and leadership reporting. You will evaluate large-scale partner investments, support incentive and resell programs, help consolidate program and project codes in coordination with FP&A and TM1, and contribute to scalable governance mechanisms for strategic partner agreements. The role combines run-the-business execution with meaningful opportunities to influence how AWS invests for growth.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong business judgment, comfort operating in ambiguity, and the ability to independently own deliverables end to end. This role requires advanced Excel and data modeling skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to partner effectively across Finance, Sales, Business Development, and Operations in a fast-paced environment.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Serve as a key finance partner for Partner Core GTM programs, supporting resell motions and incentive programs by owning financial analysis, execution cadence, and governance in close partnership with the AWS Specialists and Partners organization. • Own program-level financial planning and execution, including OP2 inputs, monthly R&O reviews, in-year reforecasting, and leadership reporting, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and clear decision support. • Evaluate large-scale partner investments and initiatives by building and maintaining financial models that assess revenue, margin, and ROI at the program and portfolio level, and surface risks, tradeoffs, and optimization opportunities. • Design, maintain, and improve rhythm-of-the-business mechanisms that track progress to goals, monitor investment performance, and deliver actionable KPIs and insights to senior leaders. • Lead program and project code consolidation in coordination with FP&A and TM1, ensuring clean budget alignment, accurate accruals, and reliable financial reporting. • Dive deep into variances, trends, and material results to identify underlying business drivers and recommend corrective actions or strategic adjustments. • Partner with finance technology and operations teams to automate, standardize, and simplify financial processes, improving scalability, accuracy, and speed of execution.

A Day in the Life:

A typical day includes partnering with the AWS Specialists and Partners organization to review performance of core GTM programs and resell incentives, preparing inputs for monthly R&O and L10 leadership reporting, and maintaining OP2 and in-year reforecast views. The role spends time analyzing variances, evaluating partner investments and SCAs, and translating financial signals into clear recommendations. You will collaborate closely with FP&A, TM1, and program owners to ensure clean budget alignment, accurate accruals, and consolidated program structures. The day balances deep analytical work with cross-functional discussions to drive disciplined execution and decision-making.

About the Team:

The Partner Core Finance team partners closely with AWS Specialists and Partners to ensure disciplined investment, strong financial governance, and clear decision-making across partner GTM motions. We operate at the intersection of strategy and execution, owning OP2 planning, monthly R&O, and in-year reforecasting for core partner programs. The team values ownership, analytical rigor, and practical problem-solving, and works cross-functionally with Sales, BD, FP&A, and Tech to translate financial insights into action. This is a high-trust, high-expectation environment with direct exposure to senior leaders and material business decisions.

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
