Within NA Stores, the US Performance Marketing team is one of the most exciting and dynamic areas where Finance can bring transformative change. We are growing fast, and require talented finance professionals to help us scale.

The Performance Marketing Finance team offers a rich learning experience and an opportunity to develop professionally. Our team supports high-growth, trending marketing channels like Meta, Tik-Tok and Pinterest and you will be challenged to weigh in on decisions that have long-term strategic impact, and to produce insightful analytics that help us invest smartly. You will work closely with business partners and get exposure to senior leaders, and become a subject matter expert. We are looking for individuals who demonstrate Dive Deep, Invent & Simplify, Learn & Be Curious, Bias for Action, and Ownership leadership principles; who can engage business partners to drive results; and who welcome the challenge of building structure and supporting high growth with senior management visibility.

Amazon seeks a Sr. Financial Analyst to join the US Marketing Finance team. We are responsible for managing a portfolio of marketing investments across a diverse set of off-Amazon channels (Influencers, Creators, Social Media) which are used to drive new and existing customers to the Amazon store. We measure and track these investments with the aim of optimizing long term free cash flow. This role will be a key partner in directly supporting controllership, data, reporting and analytics across both Social Media and Creators Marketing Channels. This position will build robust reporting infrastructure, mechanisms and tools to surface key analytical insights and offer decision support in a rapidly evolving space. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who thrives in a fast paced environment and enjoys partnering deeply with a business unit.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead financial reporting for high visibility leadership deliverables and cross-collaborate with Stores Finance Analytics on automation and scale.
  • Lead data governance mechanisms in collaboration with diverse set of stakeholders to own and drive high fidelity financial reporting
  • Develop, report, and analyze key input metrics that support business reviews
  • Influence business decisions with effective verbal and written communication, data driven analysis and modeling, and presentation of options and alternatives

About the Company

Amazon.com Inc

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
