    Description

    Ivyhill has an immediate need for a Sr. Human Resources Generalist with a broad knowledge of human resources functions to assist with a variety of HR-related responsibilities, including, but not limited to: onboarding, training, administering leaves, crafting HR policies and providing business and human resources expertise in a wide range of HR assignments to support our 200+ company-wide employees. This position will support Corporate Management by providing guidance, support, and coordination in the consistent and effective application of policies, procedures, and employment practice.

    Essential Functions:

    In this role, you’ll be responsible for the following duties and/or functions:

    • Assisting in the planning for long-term human resource needs and trends.
    • Assisting in the implementation and administration of employee programs and policies.
    • Assisting with employee-related issues.
    • Coordinating the administration of Leave of Absence programs and processes.
    • Compiling data from personnel records and preparing reports as directed.
    • Working closely with Corporate Management and assisting with department projects.
    • Assisting in talent acquisition and recruitment processes upon request.  
    • Coordinating with payroll all applicable payroll changes such as hires, terminations, benefits premiums adjustments, etc.   
    • Assisting employees with personnel information and interpretation of policies and procedures. 
    • Monitoring new employees benefit enrollments and inputting enrollment data.
    •  Monitoring employee required company trainings.
    • Managing Educational/Training Assistance Program.
    • Managing HR email and mailbox to ensure timely responses are provided to employee requests for information.
    • Inputting and verifying information entered into CostPoint and ADP.
    • Inputting and maintaining employee data in Fidelity.

      Requirements

      This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in HR, Business or related field or equivalent experience, plus a minimum of 7+ years of progressive human resources experience.

      The successful incumbent will rely on his/her demonstrated HR experience and judgment to plan and deliver maximum value to the company as a whole. 

      Additionally, the successful incumbent will possess:

    • Proven experience as a Sr. HR Generalist.
    • Knowledge of general human resources policies and procedures.  
    • Working knowledge and understanding of the Service Contract Act (SCA). 
    • Experience with HRIS Deltek Costpoint required.
    • PHR or SPHR a plus.
    • Ability to work independently on a broad variety of HR-related projects. 
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality, display discretion and protect privacy of information.
    • Outstanding knowledge of MS Office Products is a must.Experience with recruiting and maintaining applicant flow log.

      • Previous experience in a government contracting environment preferred.

      • Good knowledge of employment/labor laws.

      • Strong knowledge of employee relations procedures and applicable laws to independently and appropriately respond to workplace matters.

      • Demonstrated experience in consultative and coaching skills

      • Ability to carefully listening to understand client needs, concerns, and challenges to provide tailored solutions.

      • Effective oral and written communication skills with all levels of the organization.

      • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.

      • Problem solving skills with an analytical thought process.

      • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
