Multi-family office that oversees all aspects of individual financial, wealth and estate planning for select senior partners of the firm. The role of Associate on the Family Office team will involve working directly with the other FO team members and the senior partners and their family members across multiple generations. As a member of the FO team, you will gain exposure to multiple areas of financial reporting, tax and estate planning, and investment and wealth management. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, have strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. The candidate should be able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a rapidly changing environment. Finally, given the nature of the position, being trustworthy, discreet and maintaining confidentiality related to all personal financial information is of critical importance.ResponsibilitiesComplete and update financial agreements (for loans, leases, new investments, etc.)Record and file documents relating to investments, insurance, tax and estate planningPreparation and enhancement of quarterly financial reportsAssist family members with bill paymentsAssist with execution and tracking of charitable giftsWork closely with the tax accountants on the preparation of tax returns and gift tax returnsWork with estate attorneys on gifting and other estate planning mattersAssist with cash management, tracking and projectionMaintain and update compliance recordsCoordinate and monitor investments with third party managersOversee all aspects related to real estate purchases and salesReview potential investments for suitabilityEnsuring the highest level of security and confidentiality with personal financial informationAd-hoc reporting and special projects as necessaryIdeal Experience and CompetenciesBachelor's degree - Accounting/Finance preferred and/or CPA a plusStrong verbal and written communication skillsStrong team player who can work with people on all levels within the organization and across multiple generations of the senior partner's familyMust be able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentStrong analytic skillsUtmost integrity; empathetic and discreet; maintain confidentiality; trustworthyOrganized, detail-oriented and efficient; ability to effectively prioritize and deliver on commitmentsShould be proficient in Excel.
