Staff Accountant

CFS is seeking a Staff Accountant for a mission-driven organization located in Boston, MA. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity offering a salary of $57,000-$62,000, with employees working five days per week in the office.

Responsibilities

• The Staff Accountant will assist with month-end close activities, journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• 
  
• Maintain accurate financial records and support reporting requirements.
• 
  
• Assist with audits and other accounting projects as needed.
• 
  
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting procedures.

Qualifications

• 
  
• Successful Staff Accountant candidates will have 1-2 years of accounting experience.
• 
  
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• 
  
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• 
  
• Experience with Sage software is preferred but not required.
• 
  
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• 
  
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
