The Staff Accountant reports to the Director – Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting and is responsible for preparing general journal entries and account reconciliations, principally for North America operations, and provides general ledger and period close support on a global basis. The Staff Accountant will apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information and assist in the production and disbursement of financial reports.ResponsibilitiesPrepare monthly journal entries, ensuring that transactions are accurately explained and supportedPrepare monthly general ledger account reconciliations, ensuring balances are appropriately supportedSupport the preparation of internal financials, 10-Qs, 10-Ks, 8-Ks, earnings releases, and other investor materialsMaintain fixed asset schedules utilizing the fixed asset softwareMaintain prepaid expenses and deferred charges schedulesAssist with general ledger close processes, such as allocations, FX rates, internal report preparation, consolidationResponsible for areas such as cash, fixed assets and depreciation, prepaids and deposits, investments in subsidiaries, intercompany accounting, goodwill, intangibles, leases, asset retirement obligations, debt and deferred financing fees, and general accrualsAssist with external auditor requests related to quarterly reviews, annual audits, and SOX 404 auditsAssist with ad-hoc projects as requestedQualificationsBachelor's degree in accounting or finance required2-4 years of experience in general accounting requiredProficient in using Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel and Microsoft WordPrefer experience with OracleRequired experience with public companies and SEC reportingAttention to detail and accuracyOutstanding communication, organization, and problem-solving skillsStrong interpersonal skills in order to work with various levels of staff and management, as well as external partiesWilling and initiative to assist others to meet deadlinesAbility to meet deadlines, prioritize, and multi-task in a fast-paced and dynamic environmentTo ApplyTo be considered for this position, we require the following:Resume – please include current contact information;Cover letter (optional) – please describe your interest in CRA and how this role matches your goals.Career Growth and BenefitsCRA's robust skills development programs, including a commitment to offering training annually through formal and informal programs, encouraging you to thrive as an individual and team member. Starting pay within this range may vary based on factors such as education level, experience, skills, geographic location, market conditions, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is eligible for bonus incentive compensation.
