Our team is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our ranks and contribute to the success of our organization.
Responsibilities:
Full Cycle Accounting:
Manage and execute day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards.
Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing, payment preparation, and collections.
Assist Controller:
Collaborate closely with our Controller to support financial reporting and analysis.
Work on various accounting projects as assigned by the Controller, contributing to the efficiency of the overall financial function.
Trial Balance and Final Entries:
Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts, ensuring proper classification and accuracy.
Assist in the preparation of trial balances and make necessary adjustments.
Debits and Credits:
Demonstrate a strong understanding of accounting principles, with the ability to accurately record financial transactions and differentiate between debits and credits.
Financial Reporting:
Assist in the preparation of financial statements, supporting schedules, and various management reports.
Contribute to the month-end and year-end closing processes.
Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting regulations and company policies.
Assist with financial audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
Team Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless information flow and financial data accuracy.
Participate in meetings and discussions to contribute valuable insights to the financial health of the company.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
2+ years of experience in a similar accounting role.
Strong understanding of debits and credits, full cycle accounting, and financial reporting.
Bilingual- English/Spanish - Proficiency
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong communication skills.
Benefits:
Competitive salary in the range of $65,000 - $75,000 per year.
