Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our accounting team.  The ideal candidate will have experience in accounting, financial reporting, and general ledger maintenance, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards. This role will support financial operations, assist with month-end close processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • General Accounting: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing financial statements, variance reports, and management reports.
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, payments, and collections, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
  • Inventory Management: Support inventory valuation, reconciliations, and cycle counts to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Fixed Assets Management: Track capital expenditures, depreciation schedules, and asset disposals.
  • Compliance & Audits: Ensure adherence to internal controls, tax regulations, and assist with internal and external audits.
  • Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in financial processes and recommend improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 2+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory accounting, and GAAP principles
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • CPA or CMA certification (preferred but not required)
