This role will assist with all aspects of the financial accounting process including general ledger, insurance accounting, fixed assets, financial reporting, and various other aspects of the business cycle. The staff accountant will work closely with internal departments to ensure that accounts are properly recorded.What you'll doPerform journal entries and reconcile subledgers to the GL.Compile information for internal accounting, AP, AR and cash dashboards; prepare supporting schedules for entries across the accounting cycle, cash accounting and reconciliations, and sales & use tax reporting.Assist with managing the monthly close process and managerial reporting.Assist with developing improved processes and technical add‑ons.Provide support for annual audits and regulatory reporting.Prepare insurance reporting to underwriter partners.Cessions and retro reporting for insurance/service contracts.Validate data between systems and related integrations.QualificationsBachelor's degree in accounting.Minimum 5 years of GL accounting experience with some payroll and knowledge of GAAP in manufacturing/distribution.High proficiency in Excel (V‑lookups, pivot tables, macros) as well as proficiency in MS Office and NetSuite.Excellent communication, research, problem‑solving, and time‑management skills.Ability to thrive as a self‑starter in a start‑up environment.Must be able to analyze data, identify and draw logical conclusions, provide recommendations, and resolve data issues and anomalies.Experience with general ledger functions, month‑end/year‑end close process, and knowledge of financial statements.Strong analytical and quantitative skills along with accuracy and attention to detail.Positive attitude and focus on collaboration with other divisions and excellent customer service.Must be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.Physical DemandsSitting: 8‑hour work shift.Reasonable Accommodation StatementConsistent with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) in the State of Texas, it is the policy of Frank Kent Enterprises LTD to provide reasonable accommodation when requested by a qualified applicant or employee with a disability, unless such accommodation would cause an undue hardship.
