Job SummaryThe Staff Accountant provides financial, operational, and reconciliation support across the Market, Office Coffee Service (OCS), and Vending business units. This role is a key contributor to the Madison District finance team, partnering closely with the Operations Controller to ensure accurate financial reporting and to support initiatives that drive continuous performance improvement.Key Responsibilities:Support Accounts Receivable activities, including validation and reconciliationReview and maintain financial records to ensure accuracy and timely reportingAssist in the month‑end close process, including general ledger accuracy and balance sheet reconciliationsPerform monthly inventory reconciliations across three lines of businessPrepare and maintain journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentationPartner with operations to support efficient and effective business performanceInvestigate and resolve accounting discrepancies in a timely mannerSupport internal audits and ensure compliance with company policies and proceduresMaintain organized financial documentation and complete data entry as requiredPerform additional duties and special projects as assignedPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, or equivalent experience3+ years of general ledger experience, including journal entries, reconciliations, prepaids, accruals, fixed assets, and GAAP accountingAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP)Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across warehouse, field, and administrative teamsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailDemonstrate ability to analyze data, solve problems, and work independently in a deadline‑driven environmentApply to Canteen today!Canteen is a member of Compass Group USACompass Group is an equal opportunity employer.
