MJ Property Management, the property management division of White's Site Development, is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team. White's Site Development has served Central Florida for nearly 40 years, and MJ Property Management brings that same commitment to the properties we manage. The ideal candidate has extensive hands-on experience with AppFolio and QuickBooks Online and is comfortable managing day-to-day accounting in a property management environment.What You'll Do- Manage day-to-day property accounting in AppFolio, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and month-end close for a portfolio of properties- Prepare accurate monthly financial reports and owner statements- Process and review vendor invoices, owner distributions, and security deposit accounting- Assist with budgets, variance reports, and year-end reporting (1099s, audits)- Support property teams with delinquency tracking, tenant ledgers, and accounting questions- Maintain organized records and help improve accounting processes as we growWhat We're Looking For- Extensive hands-on experience with AppFolio (required)- Experience with Brix and QuickBooks Online (preferred)- 2+ years of accounting experience, ideally in property management or real estate- Strong understanding of GAAP and property-level accounting- Highly organized, accurate, and able to manage multiple deadlines- Proficient in Excel- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferredWhy Join Us- Be part of a growing company from the ground up, backed by an established Central Florida firm- Close-knit, collaborative team with direct access to leadership- Opportunity to shape processes and grow with the company- Competitive payQuestions?
