Description

Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support the day-to-day accounting operations of a growing healthcare organization. This role is responsible for preparing journal entries, assisting with month-end close, maintaining accurate financial records, performing reconciliations, and supporting budgeting and financial reporting. Candidates with healthcare or medical accounting experience are highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end close activities.
  • Perform general ledger account reconciliations and ensure financial accuracy.
  • Maintain fixed asset records and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with budgeting, financial reporting, and variance analysis.
  • Support tax preparation by organizing required financial documentation.
  • Document accounting processes and internal controls.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams on accounting initiatives.
  • Perform other accounting and finance duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Healthcare or medical accounting experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word;advanced Excel skills are a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with a positive attitude and strong sense of accountability.
