About Role
Staff Accountant
We are looking for a highly motivated staff accountant to join our US Finance team. The ideal candidate will support the accounting department by performing day-to-day accounting tasks, assisting with financial reporting, and ensuring accuracy in financial records. This position will require you to have a broad understanding of basic accounting principles, great attention to detail, strong sense of urgency, and excellent communication skills.
Primary Responsibilities
Record and reconcile daily cash transactions across multiple bank accounts
Process and record employee T&E expenses, ensuring proper coding and ledger reconciliation
Monitor, process, and accurately post AP card expenses to appropriate GL accounts
Record various journal entries and assist in maintaining the general ledger
Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
Prepare financial reports and schedules as needed
Assist with audit preparation and documentation requests
Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
Maintain organized financial records and documentation
Assist in other accounting projects which includes cross collaboration with other teams in the Finance Department and help evolving our processes
Manage workload efficiently by organizing, prioritizing, and executing tasks in a timely and high-quality manner
Represent the Finance team with professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to excellence
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
2-3 years of relevant accounting experience
CPA preferred or desire to obtain CPA license
Understanding of Accounting and Financial Reporting principles and practices
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
A strong sense of urgency, with the ability to multi-task, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
