Position Summary

Tampa Family Health Centers is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Controller, the Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining the general ledger, preparing journal entries, reconciling financial accounts, supporting month-end close activities, and assisting with financial reporting. This role plays an essential part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the organization's financial records while supporting day-to-day accounting operations.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Maintain the general ledger and prepare journal entries.
  • Perform monthly account reconciliations and financial analysis.
  • Complete monthly bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
  • Support monthly and year-end financial close processes.
  • Maintain payroll accounting records and related documentation.
  • Maintain fixed asset accounting records.
  • Assist with annual audits by preparing schedules, supporting documentation, and responding to auditor requests.
  • Prepare productivity reports and variance analyses.
  • Maintain accurate financial records while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and accounting standards.
  • Support the Finance Department with day-to-day accounting functions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience.

Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of general accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Experience preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Nurse Manager - Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our leadership team. This role is responsible for overseeing clinical operations, supporting staff development, and ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care across the health center.

The Nurse Manager will provide leadership to clinical support staff, drive operational excellence, and partner closely with providers and leadership to ensure efficient, compliant, and compassionate care delivery.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily health center operations across clinical and support teams
  • Monitor staff schedules, patient flow, and clinic efficiency
  • Set clear expectations and provide leadership to clinical support staff
  • Support providers in delivering high-quality patient care
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of staff and provider workflows
  • Educate staff on policy updates, insurance changes, and process improvements
  • Lead team meetings, huddles, and maintain accurate documentation
  • Address patient concerns and support service recovery efforts
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant clinical environment
  • Oversee equipment usage, maintenance, and regulatory compliance
  • Supervise staff performance, scheduling, and timekeeping
  • Conduct evaluations, coaching, and corrective actions as needed
  • Ensure staff credentials and certifications remain current
  • Monitor quality metrics, audits, and compliance with AAAHC standards
  • Manage inventory, supplies, and department budget needs
  • Stay current with regulatory requirements including OSHA, NCQA, and CMS
  • Serve as subject matter expert for the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program
  • Participate in community outreach and engagement activities

General Responsibilities

  • Support and model TFHC's mission, vision, and values
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and accreditation standards
  • Maintain infection control and safety protocols
  • Complete administrative documentation and personnel actions
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Active and unrestricted Florida license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) required
  • Current BLS certification
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred
  • Experience in primary care, community health, or public health preferred
