Shames JCC | Almost Home | Tarrytown, NYPart-Time | Monday–Friday | School YearPosition OverviewThe Shames JCC is seeking an energetic, creative, and enthusiastic STEAM Activities Coordinator for our Almost Home after-school program serving children in Kindergarten through 4th grade.We are looking for someone who loves working with children and can bring science, technology, engineering, art, and math to life through exciting, hands-on activities, experiments, and creative challenges!ResponsibilitiesPlan and lead five engaging, 30-minute STEAM activity rotations daily.Develop age-appropriate projects that connect with weekly program themes.Supervise and direct support staff during activities.Create a fun, safe, positive, and well-organized learning environment.Manage activity supplies, preparation, and classroom organization.Collaborate with our team on special events and program activities.Schedule & AvailabilityMonday–Friday, approximately 2:00–6:00 PMFollows the local school district calendar, September through June.Must be available consistently Monday–Friday throughout the school year.Participation in required staff orientation and training.QualificationsExperience working with elementary-aged children.Strong interest or background in STEAM education, enrichment, or hands-on learning.Creative, organized, dependable, and comfortable leading groups.Strong classroom management and communication skills.Ability to supervise and guide supporting staff.Compensation$17–$22 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.If you love inspiring curiosity, encouraging creativity, and making learning fun, we would love to hear from you!Join our Almost Home team and help make every afternoon an adventure in discovery!How to ApplyTo apply for this position, please click the link below and complete our online staff application:CLICK HERE TO APPLY
