Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in a progressive care environment. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical assessment skills and experience caring for patients requiring intermediate-level monitoring and treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in a Stepdown/Progressive Care setting
- Monitor and assess patients with complex medical conditions
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
- Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to patient changes
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure quality patient care
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and charting
Requirements:
- Minimum 18 months of recent Stepdown RN experience required
- Active Ohio RN license or Compact RN license required
- AHA BLS certification required
- AHA ACLS certification required
- Strong telemetry and patient monitoring skills preferred
Additional Information:
- ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate testing required during orientation with acceptable passing scores
- Timekeeping system utilized for submitting hours worked
- Orientation hours compensated at a reduced rate per facility policy
