ARCO Design/Build is looking for an individual to continue the evolution of the Procurement organization within the Mission Critical business in Atlanta, GA. This Strategic Sourcing Manager will lead the end-to-end procurement strategy and execution for a fast-growing mission critical and data center construction business. The ideal candidate will be dynamic, collaborative, and experienced with all aspects of supplier management from onboarding and contract negotiations through to schedule management and on-time delivery of conforming major equipment.

A DAY IN THE LIFE:
- Train and lead Project Managers on intelligent and value driven procurement processes as a best practice for complex and long lead equipment and high value subcontractors
- Partner with Project Executives and Project Managers during preconstruction to develop procurement strategies and supplier selections, with a focus on early PO release strategies to meet dynamic project schedules
- Coordinate long-lead equipment procurement for critical path items such as generators, transformers, switchgear, PDUs, and cooling systems to protect project schedules.
- Lead win-win-win buy-out activities across active projects, ensuring subcontractor awards align with budgets, project-specific requirements, and client expectations.
- Collaborate with the legal and risk team to ensure subcontract terms appropriately align supplier agreements with ARCO risk positions through flow down of owner contract requirements, insurance provisions, cancellation and payment terms, and warranties.
- Understand potential risks and help mitigate associated problems
- Drive supplier performance through proactive engagement and oversight methodologies
- Create and manage project-specific templates, reports, and tools that align with project and company objectives
- Assist Company Executives in negotiating Master Supply Agreements
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in supply chain, construction, or business management
- 5-10 years of experience in supply chain, contract management, or major MEP equipment operations
- Knowledge of suppliers and market trends within the Mission Critical space
- Experience in expediting, supplier quality management, and/or material management
- Proficiency in the formation, terms negotiation, and administration of purchase orders from bidder prequalification to disputes
- Experience in applying efficient procurement processes, structures, and analytical tools
- Highly developed analytical and communication skills (written and verbal), combined with a structured work style and a pragmatic hands-on approach
- Ability to challenge "conventional" thinking, consider others' views, and convince with facts considering a proactive approach to overcome resistance
- Experience in Design/Build preferred
