Position Title: Certificated Substitute

Location: Woodland School District
Days/Hrs: 6.25 hrs. with unpaid prep. If asked to work their prep, the substitute will be paid additional pay.
Pay Schedule: The current rate of pay for certified substitutes is $240 per day or $144 for a half-day. Certificated subs who complete 25 full workdays in day-to-day or short-term substitute assignments (two half days equal one full day) during the first semester will receive an increased rate of $260 per full day and $154 per half day in the second semester. Certificated subs who travel to Yale Elementary will receive an additional $20 travel bonus per day.
Job Summary: To assist the superintendent in the accomplishment of the mission of the Woodland Public Schools to ensure that, within a nurturing and stimulating environment, each of our diverse students and graduates achieves literacy and appropriate core competencies and becomes a responsible and compassionate citizen. Certificated Substitutes are on-call, as needed to fill in for teachers who are absent for various reasons. Work is performed under the direction of the building administrator.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, such as to read handwritten or typed material, and the ability to adjust focus. The position requires the individual to meet multiple demands from several people and interact with the public and other staff.

The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
