Duties
  • Produces and proofreads typewritten material, such as letters, reports and forms, from written and verbal communication.
  • Handles, sorts and distributes incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Assists managers with administrative duties as assigned.
  • Organizes and maintains a current and functional filing system.
  • Maintains an organized workstation.
  • Orders, catalogs and maintains inventory on resource materials and office supplies.
  • Takes minutes at meetings and disseminates as appropriate.
  • May assist managers with maintaining schedules.
  • May enter data on a daily basis and assist with other reporting requirements.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Ability to use good judgment and work independently and efficiently.
  • Ability to type with accuracy within established speed standards.
  • Ability to establish and maintain harmonious relationships.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Strong customer services skills.
  • Effective organizational and responsive communication skills.
Qualifications, Education & Experience Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • One (1) year secretarial experience including computer experience with Microsoft Word and Excel software.
Certification, registration and licensure
  • Reliable transportation and requires passing a word-processing proficiency skills test with a minimum of 50 words per minute.
  • Requires passing basic Electronic Mail, Microsoft Excel and Word proficiency tests.
