Substitute Teacher

Paradigmworks Group Inc. is seeking a dedicated and passionate Substitute Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a positive learning environment and ensuring that students continue to thrive in their educational journey during the absence of their regular teacher. This role requires effective communication skills, adaptability, and a strong commitment to student development.

Duties

• Implement lesson plans provided by the regular teacher to ensure continuity of instruction.
• Manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment.
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.
• Provide support in tutoring students as needed, focusing on individual learning needs.
• Assist in curriculum development by offering feedback on lesson effectiveness and student engagement.
• Engage with children in various activities that promote learning and social interaction.
• Foster a nurturing atmosphere that encourages children’s growth and development, particularly in preschool or Montessori settings.

Experience

• Previous experience working with children in a classroom or childcare setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with private school environments is a plus.
• Experience in behavior management techniques to support diverse learners.
• Background in tutoring or educational support roles is beneficial.
• Knowledge of Montessori methods or preschool education is advantageous but not required.
• Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with students, parents, and colleagues effectively.
