    Lycée Français is looking for qualified French-speaking and English-speaking substitute teachers for all grades. Experience working with children in groups or one-on-one, depending on the needs of children and the subject matter. Flexible schedule, willingness to adapt to multiple scenarios, and self-motivated work ethic.

    Role and Responsibilities

    The duties of the substitute teacher may include, but are not limited to the following tasks:

    Lead Teacher Substitution

    • Implementing the lesson plan provided by the school or classroom teacher
    • Providing instruction to students on a variety of classroom subjects and topics
    • Maintaining a safe and positive classroom environment that is conducive to learning

    Teaching Assistant Substitutes

    • Assisting the classroom teacher in maintaining a safe and productive learning environment
    • Working with students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning concepts that were presented in the lesson plan

    Lunch Duty Assistance

    • Assisting with lunch/recess duty maintaining a safe environment

    Requirements

    Required Qualifications

    • High School Diploma
    • Experience in nstruction in an elementary, middle, or secondary school setting
    • Flexibility and a team-spirit work ethic
    • Well developed interpersonal skills
    • Must be in New Orleans

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Louisiana Certification.
    • Bachelor's degree
    • Three or more years teaching experience
    • Fluency in French and knowledge and experience in the French curriculum
    • Experience in differentiating instruction, and supporting students with learning challenges
