Location: CREC Academy of International Studies Elementary School, South Windsor, CT

Grades: Pre-K through 5th Grade

Dates: Approximately August 2026 - December 2026

About the Position: The CREC Academy of International Studies Elementary School is seeking an energetic, dedicated, and certified Long-Term Substitute Physical Education Teacher to join our team for the Spring 2026 semester.

In this role, you will be responsible for creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment where students from Pre-K to Grade 5 can develop physical literacy, teamwork skills, and a lifelong love for movement. As an International Studies school, we value educators who can foster global perspectives and cooperation through sport and activity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate Physical Education lessons for students in grades PK-5.
• Maintain a safe learning environment and manage classroom behavior effectively.
• Adapt instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
• Collaborate with school staff to support the schools mission and student success.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance.

Qualifications:

• Certification: Applicants must hold or be eligible to apply for a Connecticut State Certification endorsed for Physical Education (044).
• Experience working with elementary-aged students is preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
