The Chippewa Falls Area Unified School District is seeking substitute teaching applicants for the 2026-27 school year. Substitute teacher positions are flexible and can work with your schedule. Substitute teachers are able to pick the days, buildings and/or grade levels they would like to work.

  • PLEASE NOTE: If you are not a licensed educator and would like to be a short term substitute teacher, you would need to have a Bachelor''s or Associate''s Degree and have completed a short substitute training program as outlined at the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction website (https://dpi.wi.gov/licensing/apply-educator-license/sub-permit).
  • PLEASE NOTE: You must have a valid license through DPI to substitute teach in our.

We also welcome individuals who meet the new requirements under Wisconsin Act 236 who meet the alternative means of obtaining a substitute teacher permit. Those individuals must be currently enrolled in a teacher prep program working towards their bachelor''s degree; are at least 20 years of age; achieved junior level status; and have completed at least 15 hours of classroom observation.
