Fidelis Consulting Service is currently hiring Substitute Teachers for the Stevens Point Area Public School District (SPAPSD). Fidelis staff can assist with the WECAN application and guide you through their hiring process.

Job Description & Responsibilities:

The role and responsibility of the Substitute Teacher includes, but not limited to:

• Carrying out necessary daily tasks and responsibilities in place of the Teacher whose absence is being substituted
• Reviewing, implementing and following lessons prepared by the absent teacher
• Possessing strong classroom management skills
• Engaging students
• Demonstrating a passion for working with students
• Creating a safe and nurturing educational learning environment
• Maintaining a positive, friendly, and respectful demeanor at all times
• Establishing positive relationships

Requirements:

• Associates, Bachelors Degree or higher
• Classroom experience preferred but not required
• Criminal History Background Check - both State and Federal
• Excellent communication skills
• Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction License to sub. If you don''t have a current teaching license then you can apply for a substitute teacher permit. This can be obtained after applying in WECAN and speaking with a Fidelis staff member. We can guide you through this quick online application.

Substitute Rates for the District are as follows:

Teacher Substitutes (who hold a DPI Substitute Teacher license or DPI Teacher license) $140/Day

SPAPSD Retired Teacher Substitutes $150/Day

Long Term Substitutes (10 consecutive days or more in 1 assignment) $240/Day
