Job Details
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary on-site representative and point of contact for owners, architects, engineers, property management teams, consultants, and subcontractors.
Lead and manage all field operations from project startup through closeout.
Develop, monitor, and maintain detailed construction schedules, identifying risks and implementing recovery plans when necessary.
Coordinate and supervise subcontractor activities to ensure work progresses efficiently and according to schedule.
Conduct daily site walks to monitor safety, quality, productivity, and project progress.
Enforce all project-specific safety requirements and OSHA regulations.
Manage material deliveries, site logistics, building access, freight coordination, and staging activities.
Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
Facilitate weekly construction meetings and communicate project updates to stakeholders.
Proactively identify and resolve field conflicts, constructability issues, and schedule impacts.
Maintain accurate project records, progress reports, photo documentation, safety logs, and punch lists.
Coordinate inspections and support the successful completion of project closeout requirements.
Mentor field personnel and contribute to the development of junior staff.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial construction projects.
Experience managing tenant improvement, renovation, modernization, healthcare, life sciences, education, office, mixed-use, or ground-up commercial projects preferred.
Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, sequencing, and field operations.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and technical documents.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction scheduling software.
Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and jobsite safety best practices.
Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to maintain professionalism while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
