    Description:

    The supervisor oversees general forepersons and crew leaders to ensure the proper administration of company policies and work practices. This includes overseeing employee training, disciplinary actions, work production, adherence to safety practices, and handling paperwork and payroll. They also interpret union agreements where applicable.

    Routine Job Functions:

    Responsible for overseeing the hiring, training, firing, and promotion of general forepersons and crew leaders in accordance with company policies. Directs these personnel in field operations, receives and interprets orders from the Division Manager, and assigns work while enforcing safety practices. Ensures accuracy and maintenance of records such as employee qualifications, timesheets, and equipment maintenance. Investigates incidents and reviews reports for completeness and accuracy. Manages cost control efforts and ensures tools and equipment are inspected, maintained, and repaired as needed. Facilitates field training on new equipment and directs responses to emergency situations. Communicates with customers, property owners, contractors, utilities, and government agencies. Meets regularly with Region Manager, System Line Clearance Coordinator, Safety Representatives, and other stakeholders.

    The Supervisor's role allows for varying levels of physical activity, with a focus on supervision and management. Administrative tasks constitute the primary responsibilities, with minimal physical demands. Each supervisor oversees multiple general forepersons (typically 2-10), who assist in all aspects of field operations.
