Description
Job Summary: The Surgical Technician supports surgical procedures in the operating room and other clinical areas. Working under the supervision of a Surgical Technologist and/or Circulating RN, this role ensures proper setup, maintains sterile technique, and assists the surgical team during procedures. Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and set up sterile tables with instruments, supplies, and equipment.
Pass instruments and supplies to the surgeon during procedures.
Maintain strict sterile technique at all times.
Clean, care for, and process instruments after procedures.
Support case carts, turnover team, and service line surgical technician roles as needed.
Assist with circulating duties under the RN's supervision.
Help ensure efficient patient flow through the OR by meeting performance standards.
Required Qualifications:
Graduate of a Registered Surgical Technician program.
Washington Surgical Technologist Registration (upon hire).
BLS Certification from the American Heart Association (upon hire).
