A highly respected and growing public accounting firm in Atlanta is seeking an experienced Tax Director to join their collaborative, client-focused team. As a trusted advisor, the Tax Director will embody the firms commitment to character - leading with integrity, accountability, and a consultative mindset in every client engagement. The firm serves clients across a broad range of industries including manufacturing/distribution, real estate, construction, technology, transportation, private equity, financial services, staffing, and professional services.
Responsibilities
- Review and approve complex tax returns and audit-related tax work
- Ensure full compliance with federal and state tax laws and regulations
- Lead tax research and strategic planning initiatives for clients
- Serve as a senior technical resource for both staff and clients
- Supervise, mentor, and develop tax team members at all levels
- Collaborate with assurance and audit teams on large, complex client engagements
Qualifications
- CPA license required
- Bachelors degree in Accounting; Masters in Taxation preferred
- 8+ years of progressive public accounting experience
- Experience representing clients before tax authorities
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in tax software (CCH ProSystem fx or similar) preferred
