Tax Manager – Public Accounting

An established and growing CPA firm is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join its team of dedicated accounting professionals. Tax Manager Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee tax compliance, preparation, review, and filing processes for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, and other business entities.
• Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize client tax liabilities and identify opportunities for tax savings.
• Review complex tax returns, workpapers, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations.
• Research and resolve complex federal, state, and local tax issues.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop tax staff, providing technical guidance and performance feedback.
• Manage multiple client engagements, budgets, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing proactive tax consulting and strategic recommendations.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships while identifying opportunities to expand services.
• Collaborate with partners and firm leadership on client matters, engagement planning, and business development.
• Stay current on tax legislation, regulatory changes, and industry developments.

Tax Manager Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Active CPA license required.
• 5+ years of public accounting experience, with significant tax preparation and review experience.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, including supervising and developing staff.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and client relationship skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong technical tax research, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary: $110,000–$160,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
