Tax Manager / Senior Tax Manager

A well-established and highly respected public accounting firm in the Columbus, Ohio market is seeking an experienced Tax Manager or Senior Tax Manager to join its growing team.

This opportunity is ideal for a CPA who enjoys working directly with clients, managing complex tax engagements, and mentoring developing professionals. Responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, businesses, and partnerships
• Manage multiple tax engagements and client relationships simultaneously
• Provide proactive tax planning, research, and advisory services to clients
• Review complex tax returns and ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations
• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and provide guidance on tax-related matters
• Communicate directly with clients regarding tax planning, compliance, and other business needs
• Manage engagement timelines, budgets, and deliverables
• Mentor, train, and develop junior tax professionals
• Collaborate with partners and other firm leaders on client service and firm initiatives
• Stay current on changes in federal, state, and local tax laws

Qualifications

• CPA license required
• 5+ years of public accounting experience
• Strong experience preparing and reviewing individual, business, and partnership tax returns
• Previous experience managing multiple client engagements and competing deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong client relationship and interpersonal skills
• Ability to effectively multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a deadline-driven environment
• Leadership, mentoring, or supervisory experience preferred
• Strong technical tax knowledge and attention to detail
