The Opportunity

As a Tax Supervisor, you'll serve as both a technical resource and emerging leader within the tax practice.

You'll work directly with business owners, executives, entrepreneurs, family groups, and high-net-worth individuals while helping oversee engagements, review work, mentor team members, and deliver proactive planning solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Tax Advisory & Planning

  • Review and oversee individual, corporate, partnership, fiduciary, and multi-entity tax engagements
  • Develop proactive tax planning strategies that help clients preserve wealth and achieve financial objectives
  • Research and resolve complex federal, state, and local tax matters
  • Identify planning opportunities and deliver value-added recommendations
  • Stay current on tax law changes and emerging opportunities

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and strengthen long-term client relationships
  • Serve as a trusted resource for tax and business-related matters
  • Communicate complex tax concepts in a practical and understandable way
  • Help identify opportunities to deepen advisory relationships and expand services

Team Leadership & Development

  • Supervise Associates and Senior Associates
  • Review workpapers and tax returns for quality and accuracy
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and constructive feedback
  • Support team development and future leadership growth
  • Assist with engagement planning and workflow management

Practice Growth

  • Identify opportunities to provide additional services to existing clients
  • Participate in networking and business development activities
  • Contribute to practice development and client retention initiatives
  • Support the firm's commitment to exceptional service and long-term client success

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
  • Master's Degree preferred
  • CPA license, CPA candidate, or EA designation acceptable
  • 4–6 years of progressive public accounting experience
  • Strong tax compliance and planning experience
  • Experience reviewing tax engagements and supervising staff
  • Estate, Gift & Trust taxation experience preferred
  • International tax exposure is a plus
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and client service
