    NHCA invites spiritually mature men and women who are called to invest in the next generation through Christ-centered mentorship. This role is more than supervision—it is a ministry opportunity to walk alongside young people, model a life of faith, and help guide them toward spiritual, emotional, and personal growth.

    The Teacher/Education Support Member serves as a steady, godly presence in the daily lives of students, offering consistency, accountability, and encouragement within a structured, faith-based environment.

    This role is well-suited for individuals who view their work as ministry, those who desire to make a lasting impact by living out their faith in a practical, relational way. Whether you come with formal ministry experience or a depth of life experience shaped by your walk with Christ, your influence here matters.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Cultivate meaningful mentoring relationships with students through daily interaction and intentional discipleship
    • Provide consistent supervision while modeling Christ-like character in all settings
    • Offer spiritual guidance through both planned sessions and everyday opportunities
    • Maintain a structured and respectful environment by administering discipline in accordance with NHCA policies
    • Participate faithfully in campus life, including chapel services and ministry events
    • Work in unity with staff to ensure compliance with Texas DFPS regulations
    • Communicate effectively with leadership and students
    • Maintain Classroom management and order
    • Assist Students with school subjects
    • Work well with the other classroom team members




    Requirements

    Qualifications

    • A clear testimony of faith and evidence of spiritual maturity
    • Full agreement with the ATCOT mission statement
    • Understanding of Christian discipleship and a heart for mentoring youth
    • At least 21 years of age
    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Willingness to complete 30 hours of childcare or related training (provided by NHCA)
    • Commitment to maintain First Aid and CPR certification (training provided)

    Preferred Qualifications

    • College degree
    • Minimum of one year of full-time ministry or relevant life experience in mentoring, discipleship, or youth work
    • Has experience with classroom management
