This Tech Audit Senior role will be based out of our Orange County, CA or San Diego, CA office. You'll work alongside an integrated team of seasoned, well-known CPAs and industry leaders. In this position, you will take a lead role on all aspects of audit engagements, from planning to completion, including supervision/mentoring of staff and building/maintaining relationships with clients.ResponsibilitiesLeading the engagement team staff on the planning and execution of an audit, review or compilation engagement to effectively and efficiently provide world-class client serviceOverseeing the day‑to‑day operations of the audit engagement from staffing, planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, financial reporting and the conclusionProviding supervision and support to the engagement staff and promote open communication to the engagement manager and partnerCollaborating with managers and partners on client issue resolutions and making recommendations for any legal, regulatory and accounting issues that arise during an audit engagementReviewing all scheduled and non‑scheduled general ledger accounts for accurate entriesManaging multiple engagements concurrently with various teams to efficiently meet client deadlinesCreating and tracking engagement budgets to review for inefficiencies that may arise during the auditConducting constructive discussions with team members on their evaluations and providing counsel accordinglyServing in professional development programs as an instructor or discussion leaderQualificationsBachelor's Degree in AccountingLicensed CPA, or working towards CPA certificationAt least 2 years of public accounting experience, with experience leading multiple engagements and supervising staffExcellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills including familiarity with US GAAP due to the complexity of the engagements in this sectorExceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationshipsAbility to manage multiple engagements and competing projects in a rapidly growing, fast‑paced, interactive, results‑based team environmentStrong leadership, training, and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills to represent the Firm well to client's managementExcellent analytical, organizational, project management skills, strong attention to detail, and proven innovative problem‑solving skillAbility to travel as neededCompensation and BenefitsThe compensation for this position ranges by location. In addition to the base compensation, Withum offers a competitive benefits package and bonus program (for eligible roles) based on individual and firm performance.
