  • Ownership of technical projects by working independently to perform testing protocols in accordance with current internal procedures and applicable AASHTO, ASTM, and ISSA methods, with accurate, complete, and traceable records.
  • Collaborate with a dynamic team to conduct evaluations, interpret results, and develop innovative solutions to meet our customers' needs.
  • Effectively communicate with internal and external customers to provide technical guidance for formulation, mix design, troubleshooting, method development, and interpretation of laboratory and field performance.

What You Need to Succeed

  • At least 5 years of laboratory experience in asphalt testing, emulsion formulations, and/or asphalt mixture evaluations is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related scientific or engineering discipline required.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15% for customer support, jobsite visits, training, and industry events.
  • Proven success providing customer-facing technical support and collaborating across functions to deliver customer and business value.
  • Strong analytical judgment and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to connect laboratory results to production and field performance.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with a demonstrated ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with customers, cross-functional teams, and industry partners.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and strong organizational skills, combined with a team-oriented mindset and the ability to effectively adapt to changing priorities and business demands.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications for communication, data analysis, reporting, collaboration, and project coordination.
  • Ability to safely perform laboratory and job-related activities, including handling, lifting, and transporting materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
