Job Title: Test Analyzer Technician / Test Technician Facility: Aimtron Corporation Location: 555 S Vermont St, Palatine, IL 60067, USA Shift Timings: 1st Shift (07.00 AM – 03.30 PM) Pay Rate: $20 - $27/hr Department: Production Employment Type: Full-Time
Position Summary:
Aimtron is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Test Analyzer Technician to support our electronic manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in testing, troubleshooting, and validating electronic assemblies and systems. This is not an entry-level position and requires practical knowledge of electronic test procedures and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform functional and diagnostic testing on PCB assemblies and electronic systems.
Diagnosis of printed circuit boards and assemblies.
Repair and rework of electronic assemblies to the component level.
Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
Operate test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and automated test systems.
Record test results and maintain accurate documentation of failures and repairs.
Work closely with engineering and production teams to resolve issues.
Support new product introduction (NPI) testing and validation activities.
Ensure compliance with quality standards and company procedures.
Identify process improvements to enhance testing efficiency and accuracy.
Required Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in electronic testing or related field (EMS environment preferred)
Excellent soldering and rework skills, including Surface Mount (SMT) and Through-hole (PTH)
Strong understanding of electronic components, circuits, and assemblies.
Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings.
Experience using test and measurement equipment.
Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
Associate degree or technical certification in Electronics or related field.
Experience in the Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) industry.
Familiarity with IPC standards (IPC-A-610, IPC-7711/7721)
Experience with automated test equipment (ATE)
