We are seeking a reliable, safety-conscious, and mechanically inclined
Thermoforming Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating thermoforming or similar plastic manufacturing equipment, performing material roll changes, installing roll shafts, and maintaining production efficiency.
We are looking for individuals who understand industrial machine operations, quality control, and safe material-handling procedures.
Key Responsibilities: - Set up, operate, and monitor thermoforming machines to meet daily production goals.
- Safely position and install roll shafts into large industrial plastic rolls using approved handling methods.
- Transport and position heavy plastic rolls using a forklift when trained and authorized, or coordinate with designated forklift operators.
- Load, align, and secure plastic rolls onto production machinery.
- Perform material roll changes and monitor proper material feeding throughout production.
- Monitor machine temperatures, speeds, and production cycles.
- Inspect finished products for defects and ensure consistent quality standards.
- Identify machine malfunctions and perform basic troubleshooting and authorized adjustments.
- Monitor production output, material waste, and scrap.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized production environment.
- Follow company safety procedures and equipment operating guidelines.
Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent
- Three (3) years of manufacturing or related experience operating and/ or running plastics processing equipment (thermoforms)
- Previous thermoforming machine operation experience strongly preferred.
- Experience operating plastic extrusion, vacuum forming, injection molding, or similar manufacturing equipment will be considered.
- Experience handling large industrial material rolls and roll shafts preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to perform machine setups and material changeovers.
- Forklift operating experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to follow production instructions and safety procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a manufacturing team.
Physical Requirements: - Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift.
- Ability to perform repetitive production tasks.
- Ability to handle machine components and materials within established safe lifting limits.
- Ability to work safely around heavy industrial plastic rolls and automated manufacturing equipment.
- Large plastic rolls are transported and positioned using appropriate material-handling equipment.
