      A Thin Films Production Specialist must demonstrate a safety-first work routine, have a proficient understanding of the technical aspects associated with his/her assigned process and the ability to work with process engineering or management to resolve production issues. The individual needs to be able to coordinate workflow with co-workers and effectively communicate cross functionally and train or cross train as required. The individual in this position will perform a variety of tasks in support of the optical and metal coating processes and inspections where they will be expected to perform the processes, rely on moderate experience and judgement to plan and accomplish tasks, solve problems, adapt new procedures, and act as a resource for others under minimal supervision.

      **1st Shift: Start time negotiable in Goleta, California. This is an onsite position.


      What You Will Do

      • Cleaning of optics and maintenance of chambers

      • Source preparation and deposition of coatings in chambers

      • Photolithography, measurements, defect mapping, and packaging.

      • Critical metrology like spectral evaluation, metal thickness, and wafer flatness

      • Cross functional communication and teamwork to track WIP, move production, and address production issues in a timely manner

      • Update documentation, create reports, or log data as needed

      Qualifications You Must Have

      • High School Diploma or Equivalent

      • Minimum 4 years combined or related photolithography or optical deposition experience

      • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance

      • U.S. Citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

      Qualification We Prefer

      • Experience with deposition or photolithography equipment with the ability to maintain all ESD, Safety, and security protocols

      • Experience in Excel and production tracking systems

      • Ability to work safely with various deposition processing equipment, chemicals, and raw production materials in a lab setting with basic gowning requirements

      • Strong interpersonal communication skills and rigorous attention to detail

      • Understanding of FOD and FOD reduction methods and concerns

      • Has experience in Microsoft Office

      • Troubleshooting experience

      • The hourly range for this role is $32.00. to $37.00. The hourly range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
