    Job Title: Transportation Manager
    Location: Sea Breeze Food Service
    Reports to: Warehouse Manager
    Job Type: Full-Time
    Job Summary:
    We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Transportation Manager to oversee and optimize our transportation operations for our company. This role is responsible for managing fleet logistics, supervising drivers, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance, and improving efficiency across all transportation activities. The Transportation Manager will also be responsible for managing the transportation paperwork at the end of each driver's shift. 
    Job Responsibilities
    • Manage and supervise drivers and transportation staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations
    • Ensure all transportation operations are in compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations (DOT, safety standards, etc.)
    • Monitor fleet performance metrics, maintenance schedules, and fuel usage and implement improvements as needed
    • Manage the fleet of vehicles and ensure that they are properly maintained
    • Develop and implement strategies, policies and procedures to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service quality
    • Maintain accurate records of shipments, vehicle inspections, and driver logs
    • Collaborate with warehouse, logistics, and operations teams to streamline processes and ensuring transportation needs are met
    • Handle transportation-related issues, delays, or emergencies proactively
    • Plan, direct, and coordinate transportation operations to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery
    • Maintain all transportation-related documentation to ensure it is accurate and up-to-date
    • Check in drivers at the end of their shifts to ensure all paperwork is accounted for and/or all payments collected based off customer terms
    Qualifications:
    • 3+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, or fleet management required
    • Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety compliance requirements
    • Experience managing a fleet in food service (preferred)
    • Proven leadership and team management skills
    • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
    • Proficiency in transportation management systems and Microsoft Office
    • Strong communication and organizational skills
    • Analytical and problem-solving skills
    • CDL class A or Class B with Air Brake endorsement for 3+ years
