Specific duties may include: advising constituents of shipment and travel entitlements; requesting and coordinating transport capability; marking, documenting, and inventorying freight, cargo, and material shipments; operating automated data terminal equipment; and arranging documentation and reports for follow-up, or responses to tracer actions. With more than 50,000 heavy trucks and buses in operation, it's up to the Transportation Management Coordinator to organize and oversee the scheduling of these vehicles, which include semi-tractor trailers, heavy troop transports, and passenger buses.
