Trauma-Informed School Counselor

Omaha street School is a small (35 students), private, alternative, Christian high school for students who have been failed by traditional education. We are seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Trauma-Informed School Counselor. In this critical role, you will be a cornerstone of our students' well-being. You will assess emotional needs, provide essential counseling, and train staff on mental health awareness. Join our collaborative team to advocate for student health, foster an environment of trust, and help us transform lives through holistic, trauma-informed care!

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group counseling, as well as crisis intervention for students. S
  • Recognize and respond to student mental health crises and facilitate external referrals.
  • Conduct behavioral assessments and maintain accurate, confidential records.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science, Psychology or related field.
  • Minimum 1-year experience (working with underserved teens preferred.)
