Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care in a freestanding ED setting, assuming expanded responsibilities including respiratory therapy and pharmacy support roles in the absence of on-site RT and pharmacy staff
• Perform and manage advanced clinical procedures including Procedural Sedation, Rapid Sequence Intubation (RSI), cardioversion/defibrillation, and rapid infuser operation
• Manage vascular access devices including Port-A-Cath, triple lumen catheters, PICC lines, and syringe pumps
• Provide Tracheostomy Care, breathing treatments, and feeding tube management
• Care for a patient population that includes approximately 15% pediatric patients
• Float to sister facilities nearby as required by the assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Room RN experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS
• Must commit to working 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
• All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of submittal; post-offer RTO requests may not be considered
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a freestanding or high-acuity emergency department environment
• Comfort with expanded clinical roles including respiratory and pharmacy-adjacent responsibilities
• Experience managing pediatric emergency patients
