# Join Our Dynamic Emergency Department Team! ## Job Description - **Position:** Backfill Travel RN - Emergency Room - **Shift:** 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM - **Duration:** 12 Weeks - **Start Date:** 09/07/2026 - **Location:** 100 McGregor St, Emergency Department, Floor A, 2004 Building ### Unit Highlights: - **Number of Beds:** - 4 in Secure Psychiatric Area (Locked) - 25 Procedure Rooms (Curtains and Doors) - 8 Hallway Beds (Utilized 24/7) - **Team Composition:** - Total Staff: 88 (various roles) - Day Shift: - 1 Charge RN - 7 RNs - 3 ED Techs - 2 RPs - Annex: 1 RN and 1 ED Tech - Night Shift: - 1 Charge RN - 6 RNs - 2 ED Techs - 1 RP - Annex: 1 RN and 1 ED Tech - **Patient Ratios:** 4:1 (with flexibility during surges) - **Type of Equipment:** - U/S IV Skills - Lucas Device - Hotline Rapid Infuser - Alaris Pumps - Pyxis - **Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System:** Sunrise / Allscripts - **Patient Population:** - Diverse conditions, including complex cardiac patients, DKA, Sepsis, Trauma, and Stroke care. ### Essential Qualifications: - **Must Have:** - At least 2 years of Emergency Department experience - Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications - Adaptability and strong communication skills - Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and medical terminology proficiency - **Preferred Skills:** - 1 year of ED experience for hired staff - EKG interpretation knowledge ### Typical Procedures Performed: - Trauma Care - Stroke Care - Laceration Repair - Orthopedic Trauma - U/S IV Insertion - IO Insertion - Eye Exam - EKG Monitoring - Psychiatric Care - Cardiopulmonary Care ### Ideal Candidate Traits: - Motivated hard worker - Creative problem solver - Passionate about patient care ### Additional Information: - **Weekend Requirement:** Every other weekend for contract labor. - **Dress Code:** Professional scrubs; no hooded shirts or sweatshirts. ## Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol): At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
