Med Ninjas is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Urbana, Illinois.

• Rapid Triage and Assessment: Quickly evaluate incoming patients to determine the severity of their condition and prioritize critical, life-threatening cases first.

• Life-Saving Interventions: Respond immediately to cardiac arrests, major trauma, strokes, severe bleeding, and respiratory failure. 

• Medical Treatments and Procedures: Start intravenous (IV) lines, draw blood, administer prescribed medications, and assist physicians with procedures like intubation, splinting, and wound suturing. 

• Patient Monitoring: Track vital signs, monitor cardiac rhythms, and observe patients closely for sudden changes in health status. 

• Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with emergency physicians, paramedics, respiratory therapists, and specialty teams to coordinate fast-paced care.

• Accurate Charting: Document assessments, interventions, medications, and patient responses thoroughly in electronic medical records (EMRs). 

• Patient and Family Support: Provide emotional reassurance, explain medical plans, and manage discharge instructions or transfer protocols.
