Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift assignment requiring a CA RN license, Epic experience, and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

• Intensive Care Unit setting within a hospital
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:30
• Epic EMR experience required and must be noted in work history

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required in-hand at time of application (EMSA not accepted)
• Current certifications required in-hand: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of charge nurse experience required
• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required
• Minimum 1 year of ICU specialty experience within the last 2 years required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Two supervisor references required at time of application
• Skilled in IV therapy, central/arterial/PICC line management, blood product administration, and TPN/Lipids
• Experience with ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and respiratory failure care
• Experience managing cardiac drips, vasoactive drips, and dysrhythmias
• Experience with CVP monitoring and pre/post cardiac cath care
• Experience with renal care including AKI, CRRT, and hemodialysis management

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care for critically ill ICU patients requiring close monitoring and complex interventions
• Manage multisystem organ dysfunction and emergency response situations
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
• Returning staff must be gone a minimum of 1 year to be eligible to return as a traveler
• No RTO permitted within the first two weeks of the assignment, with a maximum of 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract preferred
